[{"date":"February 16th, 14:30","uid":"3175417597","message":"\n\nWHY DO AMERICANS REGARD ISRAEL TO BE SO IMPORTANT?\n\nFebruary 16, 2010\nAyad Gharbawi\n\n\nMany commentators have posted replies to my articles by repeatedly saying the following:\n1.\tI have no \u2018right\u2019 to critique Israel, when Arab countries are evil, backwards and so on.\n2.\tIsrael is the \u2018only democracy\u2019 in the Middle East, and so Israel has a \u2018greater right\u2019 to exist than us backward, barbarians Arabs.\n3.\tIsrael treats all its citizens equally.\nWonderful!\nLet me answer these points.\n1.\tTo say that \u2018I have no right to critique Israel when Arab countries are evil\u2019 is a silly proposition \u2013 since, even, assuming that statement were true - two wrongs do not make a right. Furthermore, I do critique Arab countries if these critics of mine would bother to read my articles. In fact one of my latest articles equates Zionism with any type of Islamic fundamentalist movement. \n2.\tIsrael is a democracy we are endlessly told. Yes, it is. Good for them. But does that give the Zionists the \u2018moral right\u2019 to go into a country and ethnically cleanse its inhabitants and treat the remaining ones as cattle? What a stupid way of thinking! So, since Spain is a democracy, and Morocco is not \u2013 then that gives Spain the right to invade Morocco, expel its people and treat the rest as dogs. Yes, good logic indeed! \n3.\tIsrael is apartheid, racist state and in fact, it is astounding at how some people do not see that! Non-Jews are not allowed to marry Jews. That is one example of Israel\u2019s laws. Does that mean anything to you readers out there? Non-Jews are not allowed to live wherever they want to live. A non-Jew cannot simply say, \u2018OK I want to live in Tel Aviv, like you Americans can decide to move from Chicago to New York City for example. Non-Jews are forced to have all their towns and villages to have Hebrew names and they must erase their original Arabic names \u2013 even though these Arabic names for these villages had existed for thousands of years! Non-Jews have their homes, schools, hospitals, agricultural lands demolished and they cannot even go to any court to complain, because the orders for these lovely acts come straight from the highest Jewish legislative bodies. In other words non-Jews do not have any property rights \u2013 be it their homes, institutions or farmlands. Does that sound to you Israel is a human rights loving country? Jews, on the other hand, have the right to go and live anywhere they want. And guess where these wonderful people choose to live? That\u2019s right! They choose to live in the middle of an Arab town! Why, so then the Israeli army comes in to protect them and next they build walls and barbed wire and fences to protect these Jews who chose to live in the midst of Arab populations. No Palestinian can return to Israel. Period. But any Jew, from Alaska to Micronesia has the automatic right to go live in Israel. And you say: Israel is not a racist country?\nFor your information, Israel is the one entity that has most damaged you Americans. Never mind what catastrophes, wars, mass murder they have done against the Arabs. After all, Arabs are cattle and barbarians.\nBut think what that tiny, utterly insignificant \u2018country\u2019 has done to you Americans.\nIsrael is has caused the US to be the most hated nation on earth. When did that happen? To be precise, during the Johnson presidency. Prior to LBJ Arabs and Moslems around the world had nothing against America. But, yes, it was LBJ who decided to make US foreign policy completely one sided, and in favour of Israel.\nDo you not think why there exists so much anger against you \u2013 from Casablanca in Morocco to Jakarta, in Indonesia?\nDo you not stop to think?\nWhy do you Americans choose to be so scared of the Zionist lobbies, like AIPAC? Why is that not one TV channel speaks about these lobbies and how they work their way through your legislative bodies? Why this silence? Not one news network!\nWhy is there no open discussion allowed about the Zionist lobbies in your country? Why is it that whenever any human critiques Israel he is called an \u2018anti-Semite\u2019?\nObviously, this powerful application of power forces silence on everyone because should you critique Israel, it will obviously follow that you will be classified as an \u2018anti-Semite\u2019 and in your country being an \u2018anti-Semite\u2019 is equal to being a mass murderer.\nWhat is it about this geographically, strategically unimportant, land with no resources, that is an absolutely insignificant blip on earth that holds the US so spell bound to its commands?\n\n \n\n\n\n \n","url":"http:\/\/klatcher.com\/Klatcher\/blog::&page=1#"}]
