Pickled ume
..plums. no longer green. They are nice and sour. these go inside a riceball. cook your rice. put an nice pile in some saran wrap, add a plum or two, scoop in more rice on top, seal, and squeeze into that inspiring lunch-time shape.
now you know just a few more ways to cook - japanese style! :) but, gambatte on finding this stuff in the states!
